Events Galore!

Susan Hallam has made a post about her Search Engine Optimisation event a little further down the page. Seek it out; it's bound to be good as what Susan doesn't know about these things hasn't been invented yet. And she's always entertaining - I'd go and hear her read out of the telephone directory!

Also coming up... Retirement Options Seminar

Gender Equality Duty

The Gender Equality Duty came into effect on 6th April, meaning that public bodies, including business support agencies, have a legal responsibility to make sure that they treat women and men fairly and actively tackle discrimination. A recent post on the Prowess blog wonders how Regional Development Agencies and Business Link are responding to this and what developments have come about as a result.

As I commented on their blog, the Equal Opportunities Commission website details special guidance for local government, schools and health but not for business support. Does anyone think that a specific focus on business support is actually required?

Watch this space!
In the not too distant future there will be a much better way for you to publicise your events to Nottingham's business women - networking, training, workshops, charity balls... you name it. But in the meantime, why not publicise your events by posting details to this blog? It's not difficult, give it a go.
