Last Friday's business workshop day for the Women 4 Women project as undoubtedly a success with women attending who are already benefitting from the project and some who were there to find out more. From 9 in the morning until mid-afternoon, the buzz didn't stop.
There seems to be something about women-only events that creates an atmosphere that you just don't get at mixed events. Even the most unconfident warm up quickly and conversations between strangers seem natural, not forced. Is it that women as a group are more instantly welcoming or is it that when we organise such events we are more likely to build in the elements that women find welcoming? What's your experience?
