Interesting to see that there's a Women, Business and Blogging Conference happening in Leicester on 8 June which sounds like a first for the UK. Smart women are increasingly looking to the web in business and exploring social media in a business context. If this sounds like you, or the you that you plan to be, why not give the conference a try?

If you know of - or, indeed are organising - any other events that might be of interest to women in business, why not post details on this blog?

If you are interested in business support that really makes a difference to your business then consider enrolling on one of the axiscommunity web 2.0 courses at the Beeston Campus of Castle College (formerly Broxstowe)
Apart from updating you on the very latest thinking, they are really business demand led and the practical focus throughout is on the needs of you and your business.
I am just completing my second course, the first one can be free with EU funding if you meet the criteria, and I cant recommend them too highly.
My contact details are on www.cmmtv.co.uk if you want to have a word
or visit www.axiscommunity.co.uk and ask for Jonathon Green
Good luck!
Thanks Joyce, I've heard good things about this course from other peopletoo.
Improving your rankings in the search engines is a high priority for many small businesses.
If you already have a basic understanding of the principles of search engine optimisation, you may want to come along to my Advanced Search Engine Optimisation Course taking place on 15 May at Regus House, at Castle Donington.
You can learn more here:

ps - I'll also be leading an informal session on Search Engine Optimisation for Blogs at the Women, Business & Blogging Conference that Francine mentioned.
Good for people to know.
